This page hosts historical documents from multi-site archival research for Politicians at Arms, which relied on the review of memoirs, private papers, and party manifestos from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon; consular and intelligence reports from the Middle East division of the British Foreign Office, which I viewed at The National Archives (TNA) of the United Kingdom in London;  and reports from Le Centre des Archives Diplomatiques in Nantes, France (coming soon).

Some Foreign Office documents are in French or Arabic, but most are in English. Click on the file number below the date to view the document.
Please contact me if you have any questions.

Below the Foreign Office files are links associated with only a handful of the Arabic language memoirs and private papers used in my research (more are coming soon). Due to copyright laws, you must click the link and request from me specific pages to view from non-downloadable files. I plan to construct a database of all the memoirs that I have used in the study, so that other researchers can at least see which individuals from the study have produced memoirs/papers. The data will be hosted on my Middle East Memoirs Project, which is still in its infancy.
